Teaching the Techniques is a very important part of the Self-Defence Training. However, for different individuals, other skills training can also be very beneficial, such as core fitness, ballistic strength training, communication and assertiveness skills, adrenal response training & the development of individual self-belief and self-confidence. The controlled and supervised pressure testing that we do is very beneficial in helping people develop these characteristics in a safe environment.

  • Situational Awareness. Clues that a situation may be about to get out of hand.

  • ​Understanding of Surroundings

  • ​How to manage the Adrenal response to an assault or attack. How to handle the panic reaction and the tendency of some to freeze when facing abuse, attack or confrontation.

  • ​Techniques that still work even when at a height, weight and strength disadvantage

  • ​Quick Finishes to facilitate an escape

  • ​Use of Leverage, Joint Locks and targeting of pressure points as opposed to reliance on strength

  • ​How to deal with Bullies, Abuse and Discrimination.

  • ​The negative relationship between drug and alcohol use, impaired senses and street violence.

  • ​Specific and careful situational testing to help youngsters understand and cope with confrontation and attacks.
